Clarks Katerpill - I was so disappointed when Clarks stopped
making their Sunbeat sandals in dark brown. The new tan color
just doesn't work for me. Last year I even tried buying a pair
of Sunbeat’s in tan and having them dyed to a dark brown by my
local cobbler, but that only worked for one season before the
dye began to fade badly and turned to a sickly green color.
Then I discovered Clarks Katerpill in dark brown (and in
narrow!), and they worked wonderfully for me in color, size
and style. I took the advice of previous reviewers and bought
these in a half size smaller than I normally wear (9 narrow
instead of 9 1/2 narrow), and they fit perfectly. They have
excellent arch support and look great with casual summer
clothes. For a slightly dressier look with jeans, skirts
and/or casual linen dresses, I bought Clarks Pismo in dark
brown and black (both 9N) and love them as well (they're
amazingly comfortable and also have excellent arch support). I
couldn't be happier with Clarks' new Artisan line, and hope
that they continue it for a long, long time (and that they
keep making them in narrow, for those of us with long, skinny
feet). |
